That’s a kilo of plastic per bag, buried in landfill.

We Saw the Problem. It kept us up at night.
We started Bolt Bins to make waste easier for people.
But right from day one, we had this nagging issue in the background:
The bags themselves we're terrible for the planet!
They weren’t built to be reused.
They weren’t even built with recyclable materials.
But worst of all... every single one of them ended up in landfill.
That didn’t sit right with us.
So we made a call:
Build something better. Or don’t build it at all.
So we went all in!
We thought we could fix it within a few weeks.
We were wrong.
It took seven redesigns.
It took nine months of early flights, delayed samples, late-night warehouse tests, and more than a few heated calls.
We ripped things apart. Started over.
Again.
And again.
But the more work we put in — the more sure we were that this bag needed to exist.
And then we waited
It took way longer than we planned.
Delays, Wrong labels.
They were meant to come by air. Then ended up on a ship.
Somewhere between ports, no one could tell us exactly where.
We kept refreshing tracking links.
Kept calling freight depots.
They kept saying, “maybe next week.”
And then — we got the call.
Four pallets. Ready to go, right here in Welly.
All the way from one side of the world to the other!
It Wasn’t Easy. But It Was Right.
After all the waiting, the delays, the redesigns, the late nights. We finally got there.
A bin that’s tough enough to lift a car.
And built from recycled materials no one else in the industry is using.
It shows up flat-packed at your door.
We pick it up from wherever you are.
And it handles whatever you throw in it - concrete, timber, green waste, the lot.
It took longer than we hoped.
It was harder than we expected.
But it’s better than we imagined.
